Now that summer is officially here (at least in the northern hemisphere), I thought it would be cool to round up some free summer fashion crochet patterns that I’m excited to have a go at. With all my WIPs, what’s a few more?
The Fest Vest

I am so excited to try this pattern out! I’ve worked with Caron Cotton Cakes before to make my backpack, and it is a great yarn to work with. There weren’t many patterns for it, though. I love the colour way she used and will probably go with the same once I get my hands on some more skeins.

Casablanca Summer Poncho

I love Mama In A Stitch patterns because they are so easy and they are so chic. I really want to try out this pattern!

Eazy Breezy Swim Cover

Another favourite site of mine, Megmade with Love always has such neat patterns. I’m not much of a beach person (let’s face it, I live in the north, the beaches are meh), but this would be fun to just wear around the house on a hot day.

French Market Bag

You can never have too many bags! And this is great for carrying around your yarn. The pattern is a guest post by Two of Wands on All About Ami.
Joni Topper

I love that this vest is a racer back! I’m itching to make this one, even though I’m not much of a vest person!
Summertide Slip Ons

Slip ons are my favourite type of shoe to wear in summer, even though they make my feet stinky (TMI? Haha). I like the idea of turning cheap flip flops into beautiful crochet shoes.

Boho Shawl

I think this shawl is stunning. I love the blue. If I ever get around to making this, I want this exact colour (cobalt blue). It would be a nice addition on a cool summer night.
One Skein Summer Wrap

This would also be a nice accessory for those nights where it’s not quite cool enough for a sweater but there’s still a chill in the air.
Summer Breeze Top

And here’s another stellar use for Caron Cotton Cakes. I don’t like to wear spaghetti strap shirts in public, but with this over one, I definitely would!
Granny Summer Bag

And finally, one more use for the cotton cakes. This is such a cute tote and would be great to drag along to the beach or the pool or shopping outdoors.
Wait, there’s one more!
It’s my summer festival bag! Easy to make and fun to wear.
That’s it! I hope you enjoyed this pattern roundup and have added some projects to your to-do list. I know I have! Feel free to share some of your finds or patterns in the comments below.
